Former Mercer County High School girls basketball coach Kate Engwall will serve as a volunteer assistant junior high girls basketball coach in the school district in the fall of 2025.
Engwall will assist one of her former players, current eighth-grade coach Emma Skovronski, who is expecting her first child during the season.
Engwall is the longest-tenured girls basketball coach in Mercer County High School history. She was part of the program for 12 years, including nine as the head coach from 2015 to 2024.
She spoke to WRMJ in a full-length interview this week.
