Conne Christie, 84 of Keithsburg, passed away at The Fountains Senior Living Community in Bettendorf, Iowa, at 7:11 a.m. on December 21, 2024. Private family graveside services will be held at the Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg. Memorials may be made to the Keithsburg Fire Department.
Conne was born on July 1, 1940, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, to Glen and Hazel (Rowland ) Reason. She married Cecil Christie on March 18, 1957.
Conne was a 28-year employee of Cannon Bronze in Keithsburg. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards, cooking, canning, and eating out. She especially loved seeing her grandchildren and hearing all about the great-grandchildren. A picture was worth a thousand words to her (literally)!
Those left to cherish Conne’s memory include her husband, Cecil; daughter, Debbie (Bill) Baker; brother, Kent Reason; grandchildren, Daniel (Tiffanie) Clark of Evergreen, Colorado, and Devin (Tara) Clark of Winona Lake, Indiana; three and ¾ great-grandchildren, Kenzi, Aubri, and Zoe of Evergreen, and one unknown little guy due any time in Winona Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Rodney Christie; a sister, Winifred Saltgaver; and a brother, Boyd Dean Reason.

The family would like to thank some very special people who have been there to visit and support Conne in her memory loss journey…Sheri Collins (niece, who is like another daughter), Evelyn Christie, Kevin Gibbs, Valerie Dodson, Deb Stineman, Dean and Jean Baker, Ineth Nylin, Lynette Patterson, Judy Roberts, and, of course, the long list of neighbors/friends who truly showed they cared whether it was a phone call to her, an inquiry about her, or simply a card. It has all been appreciated more than they can say.
The family would also like to thank The Fountains Cascade and St. Croix Hospice Staff for their support through Conne’s final journey.
