Rockridge (6-4, 2-1 TRAC West) held Mercer County (6-6, 0-3 TRAC West) to just nine points in the second half of a 59-28 win in TRAC West boys basketball at home Friday.
The Golden Eagles scored the first basket of night to go ahead 2-0, which was MerCo’s only lead of the night. Rockridge led 13-6 at the end of the first quarter and 28-19 at halftime. The Rockets outscored the Golden Eagles 31-9 in the second half and saw the advantage swell to 33 points in the fourth.
Landon Bull and Caleb Cunico each scored 14 for Rockridge. Landon Wheatley added 11 in the win.
Carson Boelens netted a game-high 15 points for Mercer County in a losing effort.
