A jury trial has been scheduled next month for a Viola man facing two felony sexual abuse counts.
33-year-old Gregory Wilson appeared in Mercer County Circuit Court on Monday, where a jury trial was set for May 25-26. A final pre-trial conference was scheduled for May 5.
Wilson was arrested in September 2024 following an investigation by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department. He’s charged with two Class 2 felony counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Wilson was originally granted pretrial release with home detention in 2024, but was taken into custody in August 2025 after the prosecution filed a petition to revoke his pretrial release. He’s currently in custody at the Mercer County Jail.
