West Central scored a run in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Rockridge 4-3 in a state-ranked softball matchup on Wednesday.
Lauren Winters drove in three runs for the Heat (12-2-1) in the win. Miley Stimpson was the winning pitcher, allowing three runs on three hits in seven innings. She struck out nine batters.
Charley Perkins hit a home run and drove in two runs in the loss for Rockridge (13-3).
