A Mexican restaurant in Aledo is closing and transitioning into a second Judy’s Family Cafe location.
On Thursday, Miguel’s Grill & Bar announced on social media that its last day of service will be Sunday, Dec. 28. After that, the location will begin to renovate and remodel the building to prepare to reopen as Judy’s Family Cafe.
Judy Wang, the owner of Judy’s Family Cafe in Galesburg, also owns Miguel’s Grill & Bar.
Judy’s Family Cafe is a viral hit on social media, with more than 530,000 followers on Instagram, over 240,000 followers on TikTok, and more than 185,000 followers on Facebook. 12 of Judy’s videos on TikTok have garnered more than a million views, with the most popular video posted to the app having 12.5 million views.
Wang said on social media she hopes to open the Judy’s Family Cafe location in Aledo in May 2026. The post said the restaurant will serve an all-day menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner.
