Work is underway to restore Floral Hall at the Mercer County Fairgrounds.
The building, which was constructed in 1882, was decommissioned and set to be demolished in 2023 before a donor came forward to save it.
Crews began working to repair the structure last week.
Mercer County Fair Board President Rita Williams says the 143-year-old building is important to local history.
Williams says there’s currently not a timeline for the project to be completed, but notes Floral Hall will not be open for the 2026 Mercer County Fair.
