The Aledo Opera House is holding a concert featuring an award-winning bluegrass musician this weekend.
Rick Faris will perform at the Aledo Opera House on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Faris played with Special Consensus, which was nominated for two Grammy awards. He was recognized by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) as Songwriter of the Year in 2024. He was named IBMA New Artist of the Year in 2022.
Faris spoke with WRMJ about the point in his career after playing with Special Consensus when he began his solo career.
