Carol Jo Roberge, 71 of Aledo, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island Hospital. Cremation rites have been accorded with Dennison Funeral Home in Viola. Carol was born on April 4, 1954, in Rock Island, the daughter of Walter and Geraldine Lundberg Johnson. She married Ken Roberge on February 12, 1971, in Rock Island.
Throughout her life she held several different jobs, first as the head cook for the Georgetown Manor, then as the dietary manager and supervisor for Laurelwood Assisted Living, and finally as the food service director for the Rock Island County Jail. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ken Roberge of Aledo; son, Kenny (Holly Boydston) of Aledo; grandchildren, Kelsey Roberge, Jessica Teal, Cassy Johnson, Emily Teal, Abigail Roberge, Ryan Teal, and Cael Roberge; sister, Julie Johnson; and nieces, Jenny Johnson, Leesa Wilson, and Erin Boyle.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Stephanie Roberge; and brother, Mark Johnson.
