The City of Aledo says it’s continuing to work on bringing a driver services facility back to the city.
The Aledo DMV location closed in June after the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office said it was unable to reach an agreement with its landlord on a new lease.
Aledo Mayor Chris Hagloch says conversations are still ongoing between the city and the state on bringing a DMV to downtown Aledo.
Aledo City Administrator Mike Chausse indicated an expected timeframe of three to nine months for a lease agreement to be reached in July.
