The City of Aledo’s 4th of July display will look different in 2026.
At Monday’s city council meeting, the council approved a $40,000 contract with BCI Entertainment for an Independence Day drone show. The proposed display includes 200 drones that will provide three-dimensional images in the sky. The drone show is expected to last between 12-15 minutes with a customized music track.
The show will commemorate the United States’ 250th birthday.
Aledo Mayor Chris Hagloch says the city still hopes to use fireworks as part of the event.
The city will be seeking sponsorships to help offset the cost.
