Golfers, community supporters, and healthcare advocates will come together for a great cause on Friday, June 20, at Highland Springs Golf Course near Milan, as the Mercer Foundation for Health hosts its 12th Annual Charity Golf Outing.
The event raises funds to support nursing and allied health scholarships—helping develop the next generation of healthcare professionals who serve the Mercer County region. Funds go toward educational assistance for students pursuing careers as nurses, CNAs, lab technicians, radiology techs, and other vital healthcare roles.
“This outing directly supports future healthcare workers who often return to serve in our local communities,” said Al Zwilling, Executive Director of the Mercer Foundation for Health. “It’s a great day of golf—and a powerful way to invest in the future of rural healthcare.”
The cost is $300 per team of four, which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, lunch catered by Mercer Market, and a charitable contribution. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for local businesses, including hole sponsorships and team sponsorship packages that include promotional signage on the course.
The outing has become a favorite for both casual and competitive players alike.
“There are teams that come to compete seriously, and others that just enjoy a relaxing day for a great cause,” Zwilling said. “We welcome everyone.”
