The Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate multiple vehicle and garage burglaries that occurred between 11/28/24 and 11/30/2024.
Rural communities throughout the county have been targeted in these recent incidents. Suspects have entered both locked and unlocked vehicles, gaining access to personal items located inside. Multiple firearms have also been stolen during recent burglaries.
Suspects are described as slender males, in their early 20s, wearing dark clothing with hooded sweatshirts and facemasks. In at least 3 incidents suspects were possibly armed with handguns. The sheriff’s department continues to ask residents to be vigilant in securing their property.
Items of value should also be removed whenever possible. And never leave a firearm unattended inside a vehicle.
