The Associated Press (AP) released its first IHSA girls basketball poll of the 2024-25 season Wednesday.
Abingdon-Avon (6-0, 1-0 LTC) is No. 4 in 1A this week. Other local teams that cracked the rankings were Allemen (2A No. 7) and Galesburg (3A No. 10).
Sherrard (4-1, 1-0 TRAC West) received votes in the 2A poll.
WRMJ’s Ty Taylor is an AP voter. His ballot will accompany the AP poll throughout the year.
