Over $5 million has been committed in a $7.5 million capital campaign for the proposed Aledo Aquatics Center project. An informational meeting was held at the site Saturday, where those in attendance heard from Tanner Dunn with the Aledo Park District.
The site is at the former Aledo Farmers Grain and Coal property, just off Illinois Route 17. Dunn says the hope is to have the aquatics center open by the summer of 2026.
