University of Iowa men’s basketball players Brock Harding and Owen Freeman are instructing at this week’s Mercer County High School girls basketball youth camp.
Harding, the 2023 Illinois Mr. Basketball, was in Aledo at the camp Tuesday, along with Moline High School assistant boys basketball coach Pat Rangel. Harding spoke to WRMJ about helping run the camp.
Freeman, the 2023-24 Big Ten Freshman of the Year, will be at the camp Wednesday. Both players led Moline to the 2023 IHSA 4A boys basketball state championship.
The Mercer County High School girls basketball youth camp runs from 3 to 5 p.m., June 4-6, at Mercer County Junior High in Aledo.
