A list has been compiled ranking the most popular high school team names of all time. The list was detailed by the site MascotDB. Eagles ranked number 1 with 1,757 choosing that mascot over the years. There is a distinction with Golden Eagles, ranked 56th with 141 schools choosing that name. Tigers ranked 2nd most popular with 1,440 schools using that mascot. Rockets came in 32nd with 239 schools. WRMJ Sports Director Jim Taylor spoke about the list with radio friend Brian Reusch at WCCI in Savanna.
