Mercer County is set to get a new state senator in the coming year. Republican Chuck Weaver is retiring from the position and will not seek re-election. Newcomer Win Stoller is running for the spot and has the support of Weaver.
In addition to the fair map amendment, Stoller is also in favor of term limits.
