Mercer County and Illini West met for the second time this season and the result was the same as the Chargers outscored the Golden Eagles 18-1 in the second quarter en route to a lopsided win in the Class 2A Sherrard Regional Championship game Thursday night. The Rockridge Rockets 7th grade boys basketball team continued to dominate as they handled St. Joseph to win the IESA State Championship.
