A Keithsburg man has been found guilty of an aggravated battery charge. A Mercer County jury returned the guilty verdict early this afternoon to 26 year old Alan Wayne Stanley following a one day trial. He will be sentenced on the Class 2 felony on October 22nd. The charge was in connection with a March of 2018 incident involving a local law enforcement officer. Stanley has been remanded to the Mercer County Jail until sentencing. Class 2 felonies are punishable by probation up to seven years in prison.
