Sherrard (5-1, 1-0 TRAC West) never trailed in a 38-35 win over Rockridge (2-3, 0-1 TRAC West) Friday.
The Tigers led 9-2 at the end of the first quarter and extended the advantage to 11-2 early in the second. The Rockets answered with a 9-0 run to tie the game 11-11 before Sherrard scored the final four points of the first half to hold a 15-11 halftime advantage.
Rockridge cut its deficit to one point three times in the second half, including once in the final minute of the game, but never tied it.
Rylan Carton scored 18 points to lead Sherrard to the win.
Landon Bull had a game-high 19 points in the loss. Wade Richhart added 10 points for the Rockets.
Sherrard snapped a 13-game losing streak to Rockridge and ended the Rockets’ 35-game TRAC winning streak.
