Celebrating a couple of big 4-H milestones this week at the Mercer County Fair. The Hamlet Handy Helpers 4-H Club recognized for 100 years of service. Dave Close became a member back in 1950 at the age of 10.
4-H club leader Joyce Smith of Viola was also honored Wednesday at the fair for her 50 years of service
Smith is also in the Illinois 4H Hall of Fame.
