Five county Farm Bureaus joining forces this summer to coordinate “Ag in a Day” workshops for area teachers. The program offers continuing education credits says Mercer County Farm Bureau manager Kendra Anderson. One day is planned for June 13th and the other June 14th. Each day is $10.
June 13th will include tours of En Season Café, Thrushwood Farms, Pilot Knob Comforts popcorn farm and Triple E Farms–all in Knox County.
On June 14th, stops will include the WIU Quad Cities Campus in Moline, the Quad City Botanical Center and Energy Center Interactive Learning Lab in Davenport.
The “Ag in a Day” workshops are a joint effort between the Henry, Knox, Mercer, Stark and Warren-Henderson County Farm Bureaus.
