A 2018 Sherrard High School graduate is running for a Mercer County Board seat.
At 24 years old, Colton Smith is well against the traditional county board candidate age demographic. He’s running to represent Matherville, Sherrard, and Fyre Lake in District 3.
Smith graduated from St. Ambrose University in the spring.
The election date is November 5th.
