WRMJ is gearing up for a special day of community, hope, and giving — the Relay for Life of Mercer County Radiothon, set for Monday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Throughout the day, listeners will hear powerful stories from cancer survivors, caregivers, and families impacted by the disease, all leading up to this summer’s Relay for Life event.
Among the voices featured during Monday’s Radiothon will be Dave Sturgill, a passionate supporter who will share his personal connection to Relay and why it remains such an important tradition in Mercer County. Also joining the broadcast is Jenna Maxson, General Manager of the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge in Iowa City, a facility that provided over 13,000 nights of free lodging last year alone to cancer patients undergoing treatment and their caregivers.
Adding to the spirit of the day, live music performances will be featured from Jason Parchert and Ryan Koresko.
Every story, every donation, and every song on Monday helps support local Relay efforts and the American Cancer Society’s mission to celebrate survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and continue the fight for a cure.
Tune in Monday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., and be part of the hope!
