Three incumbents are seeking re-election to the Aledo City Council. And all three are running unopposed in the April 2nd election—Chris Kopp in Ward 1, Jim Holmes in Ward 2 and Mike Chausse in Ward 3. No one is running in Ward 4 at this time and incumbent Jay Doherty is not seeking re-election for that seat. Two candidates are running for a two-year term in Ward 2 as a result of the resignation of former alderman Randy Slater. Linda Sarabasa and Rob Maynard are vying for that position. The ballot is certified on January 24th and write-in candidates have until January 31st to declare their candidacy.
