Mercer County, Rockridge and Sherrard each earned a pair of individual championships at the Bob Mitton Invitational at Orion High School on Saturday.
For Mercer County, Boston Morford took first place at 113 pounds, while Eli Burns claimed the 165-pound championship. Burns was named the Upper Weights Most Outstanding Wrestler at the event.
Rockridge’s Clayton Blumenstein (132 pounds) and Thomas Sowards (157 pounds) won their respective weight classes.
For Sherrard, Andrew Knox earned the tournament title at 150 pounds, while Cooper Thomas topped the 190-pound bracket.
Rock Falls won the Bob Mitton Invitational as a team, scoring 185 points. Rockridge, 171.5, took second.
Mercer County scored 159.5 points to finish fifth, Sherrard totaled 151.5 points to take sixth place, and Orion scored 105 points to finish in seventh place.
