The Mercer County School District is exploring relocating its district office.
Currently, the district office is located inside the former Mercer County Junior High Vocational Building in Joy. At the Mercer County School District’s January Board of Education Meeting last week, the board discussed moving the district office to the main building in Joy, which formerly served as Westmer High School and Mercer County Junior High.
The building currently houses the district’s pre-k students, but starting next school year, pre-k classes in the school district will be held at Apollo Elementary and New Boston Elementary.
No vote was taken on the matter.
