A cold shooting performance doomed the Rockridge Rockets for the second year in a row in the Class 2A State semi-finals as they fell to Bloomington Central Catholic 57-44 at the State Farm Center in Champaign. The Saints lead 9-6 at the end of the first quarter, 18-16 at halftime. With the game tied 29-29 with :30 left in the third, Central Catholic scored the final five points of the quarter to lead 34-29 after three. The Saints then extended the lead in the fourth quarter. Rockridge took 17 more shots than Central Catholic but was just 19 of 53 from the floor for 36%. Landon Bull lead Rockridge with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Central Catholic was lead by Cole Certa with 19. The Rockets play Teutopolis tonight at 8:45 for third place for the second straight year.
