Rockridge Sets Informational Meetings On Reading Curriculum

The Rockridge School District inviting all K-8 parents to a series of informational meetings this month to address recent changes in the reading curriculum.  The district is transitioning away from the use of Accelerated Reader (AR) and toward improved Critical Thinking Skills. To accommodate parent work schedules, three similar meetings will be held at three different times: September 17th at 9 a.m. at the Board of Education Office; September 17th at 6:30 p.m. at the High School Auditorium; and September 20th at 5:30 p.m. at the High School Auditorium.

 

The sessions will be spent:

  1. Explaining the shift from AR
  2. Sharing reading ideas with parents
  3. Sharing an overview of the new District MAP Testing
  4. Answering questions
