
Rockridge graduate Kendra Lewis was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week in softball, the conference announced Monday.
The University of Wisconsin freshman slashed a .545 batting average, 1.364 slugging percentage, and .583 on-base percentage over the course of the three-game series at Illinois to open Big Ten play. In all three-games, Lewis had multi-hit and multi-RBI performances, including a home run in each of the three games. She totaled six hits (6-for-11), three home runs, eight RBI, and four runs.
On the season, Lewis is hitting .405 with three home runs and 16 RBI. In the pitcher’s circle, Lewis is 2-4 with a 4.91 ERA.
