A retirement celebration is planned for later this month for an Aledo doctor. Dennis Palmer and his wife Vicki
Palmer were recruited to Aledo in 1976 by local community organizations and in conjunction with the National Health Service Corps. He retired in June.
Vicki has served as president of the Mercer Foundation for Health Board and both played an instrumental role in building the upgraded Mercer County Family YMCA. The Mercer Foundation for Health’s Al Zwilling says the event is all about thanking both for their service to the community.
The celebration is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, August 25, at the Mercer County Family YMCA. A formal recognition and thank you will take place at 1:15 p.m.
