The attorney representing a Viola man in a child porn investigation has withdrawn from the case. 45-year-old James Eric Haley is awaiting trial on 16 felony counts. His pre-trial was continued to July 13th today in Mercer County Circuit Court. Attorney David Morrison withdrew from the case and Public Defender Andrew Larson was appointed by Judge Peter Church. Haley was arrested last August and was released on a $500,000 recognizance bond in early March. The 16 felony counts are in connection with allegations involving a 15-year-old girl.
