Another continuance for a New Windsor man awaiting trial in a child porn case. 60 year old James Pierson had his pre-trial conference continued to March 30 during an appearance Monday morning in Mercer County Circuit Court. The delay was attributed to the defense. Pierson faces three Class X felonies stemming from his arrest in February of 2020 following an investigation involving the Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation, Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, Kewanee Police Department, New Windsor Police Department, Illinois Attorney General’s office and federal authorities. Pierson remains in the Mercer County Jail on $500,000 bond.
