Mercer County (12-11, 4-3 LTC) survived against Ridgewood (12-10, 2-5 LTC) in a 59-56 win at home Wednesday.
The Golden Eagles led 17-8 at the end of the first quarter. Ridgewood answered by outscoring Mercer County 17-6 in the second quarter to take a 25-23 lead at halftime. The Golden Eagles had a 45-38 advantage through three quarters.
Molly Hofmann scored a game-high 21 points in the win for Mercer County. Sydney Lamkin netted 19 points and Gabriella McPeek added 11 points for the Golden Eagles.
Ciara Clark was Ridgewood’s leading scorer with 20 points, including six three-pointers.
