The Mercer County School District art program taking over downtown Aledo through the weekend. A guided art walk begins at 6 p.m. Thursday followed by the Second Annual Art Gala Saturday night says high school art teacher Tara Guidinger.

Again, the Art Gala is Saturday at 125 South College Avenue. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a silent auction starting at 6 and live auction at 7. Over 70 pieces are involved with students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
