The Mercer County Golden Eagles notched their first win of the 2021 season with a 40-26 win over United Friday night. Mercer County trailed 26-24 after three quarters. David Meece gave the Golden Eagles the lead with a 94-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter.
Rockridge has won two in a row after beating Riverdale 55-12 Friday night. The Rockets led 41-6 at halftime. Rockridge quarterback Brayden Deem and wide receiver Nate Henry connected for three touchdowns to lead the Rockets.
Sherrard was shut out at home by Erie-Prophetstown 55-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers never got inside the red zone. Sherrard remained winless with the loss.
