Lyle E. Reed, 85 of West Burlington, formerly of Seaton, died Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at home. According to his wishes, cremation has been accorded. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, August 31, at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
Born August 19, 1938, in Aledo, Illinois, he was the son of Rolly and Delphine Reed. He served in the Marines for 20 years. He married Judith “Judy” Kolthoff on March 13, 2001. Lyle was a truck driver for Long Trucking. He loved woodworking and building things, fishing, and dancing.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Reed; one daughter, Jody; and one sister, Janet.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons.
