A July 31st trial date has been scheduled for an Aledo man facing federal child pornography charges. 35 year old Joaquin Cook remains in U.S. Marshals Service custody with a pre-trial conference set for May 11th at U.S. District Court in Rock Island. The federal case against Cook was announced in February. The child pornography charges were the result of a theft investigation last November where Cook was accused of stealing items from the Aledo Walmart.
