James W. Broadus, 89 of New Windsor, Illinois, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Mercer Manor in Aledo, Illinois. Cremation rites have been accorded and there are no services. He was born on August 29, 1935, in Ottawa, Illinois. He graduated from the Ottawa High School. Jim was united in marriage to Patsy Holdsworth on October 1, 1998, in Aledo, Illinois.
Jim was employed as a Truck Driver for many years retiring from Erikson Log and Lumber in New Windsor. He had a love for NASCAR, Jeff Gordon, and his late dog, Nicki.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy; two sons, Larry Broadus and Randy (Kathy) Broadus both of Ottawa; stepchildren, Teri, Cindy, Rick, and Randy Thompson; and numerous grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
His parents; four sisters; stepson, Roger Thompson; and grandson, James Gibson preceded him in death.
