Erma Jeanette was born on August 10, 1933, in Flint, Michigan, to Floyd and Mary Amy (Nelson) Dobbins. Erma was a 1952 graduate of Sherrard High School. She was married to James Johnson and Orville Bloomquist, they both preceded her in death. She cared for many different animals in her lifetime, loving them all. Erma bred and showed rabbits at our local fairs. Her favorites were the Dutch and Lilac breeds, with Dutchess being her favorite rabbit, while Lady was her favorite horse.

Erma cherished the time spent with her family and down time when she could just go for a drive on back country roads. She loved being outside with her animals or in her garden. Erma also was a talented poet, using anything that was happening around her to write about. In her spare time, she enjoyed her shows, especially Disney, Elvis, John Wayne, Doris Day, and Shirley Temple movies. Recently she just loved being able to spend time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Erma is survived by her children, Terry Johnson, Lisa Fetter, and Greg Johnson; grandchildren, Melissa and Eric Tulgetske and Terrance Fetter; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Gosney, Garry Tulgetske, and Alanna Blasko; and great-great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Peyton Hensley. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; daughter, Valarie Blasko; infant son, Timothy “Timmy” Johnson; granddaughter, Amy Blasko Baylor; siblings, Dora Mae Howlett and LaVerne Dobbins; niece, Pamela Russell; and grandnephew, Brandon Howlett.
