Mercer County opened the spring volleyball season hosting Annawan Tuesday night. The Bravettes stopped the Eagles in a three set match, 25-23, 26-28, 25-16. Mercer County will be back in action tonight at home versus Ridgewood. Rockridge beat Sherrard in a two game match 25-22, 25-19.
The first cancellation of a high school football game in the Lincoln Trail Conference has been announced. The Mid-County-United game scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled. It is not known if the game will be rescheduled.
