The City of Aledo has a meeting scheduled with the company that handles garbage and recycling pickup for its residents to discuss their performance on Thursday.
At Monday’s City Council meeting, Aledo City Administrator Mike Chasusse said the City has sent a letter of notification to LRS concerning the company not fulfilling the terms of its contract.
Chausse says that if LRS’s improvements aren’t forthcoming in the terms of the letter or their contract, the City could terminate the agreement with LRS.
The City has received dozens of reports of garbage not being picked up and spilled by their pickup crews.
The current contract between the City of Aledo and LRS runs through 2028.
