Sherrard senior Rylan Carton and Rockridge senior Landon Bull each earned Class 2A second-team all-state honors from the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) for the 2024-25 season.
Carton led Sherrard to a program-record 30 wins and scored 702 points, which broke Sherrard’s single-season scoring record. He averaged 20.6 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, highlighted by a single-game record 45 points in the Tigers’ regional championship win over Orion.
Bull finished his career at Rockridge ranked fourth in career scoring with 1,698 points. He averaged 19 points, 9.1 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game this season to lead the Rockets in each of those statistics.
Rockridge senior Caleb Cunico was named a Class 2A third-team all-stater. Orion junior Kyler Owens and Sherrard senior James Blackwell earned special mention all-state recognition from the IBCA.
The IBCA announced its all-state teams Friday.
