Western Illinois Congresswoman Cheri Bustos is declaring victory over challenger Esther Joy King in a tightly contested race. According to WTVO in Rockford, Bustos has 151,867 (51.9%) votes from 99-percent of precincts reporting. King had 140,600 (48.1%) of the vote. Bustos has represented Illinois’ 17th District since 2013.
