Bryan Neal Elliott – Services 3/9/23

Bryan Neal Elliott, 62 of Reynolds, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023 in Aledo. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, March 9, at Reynolds United Methodist Church. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be at Reynolds Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to either the Reynolds United Methodist Church or the Reynolds Fire Department. Wheelan Pressly Funeral Home, Reynolds, assisted the family.

He loved motorcycles and muscle cars; hunting and fishing; the rock music of KISS and AC/DC; western television shows; a glass full of cold milk; and a big gulp of diet Mountain Dew.

Bryan was born on January 19, 1961 to Ferdinand and Lucille Elliott of Reynolds, Illinois. He graduated from Rockridge High School (class of 1979) and BlackHawk College. He had been employed at Wal-Mart in the Automotive Department. In his youth, Bryan was an avid motocross rider and four-wheeler. He was a lifetime member of the Reynolds United Methodist Church where he had sung in the choir for a number of years. He also was active in the Boys Scouts and was a past leader for Troop 430. One of his fondest memories of Boy Scouts was a two week trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. Bryan was a dog lover and throughout his life, he had several Shelties, Lassie and Bubbles, and a special rescue pup, Beethoven. Bryan also enjoyed traveling and his travels had taken him across the United States and to Europe.

Bryan was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his sisters, Lucinda (Paul) Parchert, and Melinda (Douglas) House, and his nephew and nieces, Justin (Jordan) Parchert, Abby (Kyle) Deppert, and Hannah (Matthew) Byers. He is also survived by four great nephews and nieces: Drake, Jase, Reagan, and Rylee.
