Sherrard got back in the win column with an 11-8 victory over ROWVA-Williamsfield at home in baseball on Tuesday.
The Tigers (3-5) scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to break a 2-2 tie. Sherrard extended its lead to 11-2 entering the seventh inning. Sherrard held for the win after the Cougars (5-2) scored six runs in the top of the seventh.
Brylan Bender collected three hits and drove in four runs in the win. Harrison Curry and Gavin Burton each added two RBI for the Tigers.
Bender was also the winning pitcher. he gave up two runs in five innings of work.
