Voters in the New Boston-Eliza Fire Protection District have approved an ambulance tax levy, which aims to restore an ambulance service for the district.
The vote was approved by a 170-72 margin.
The special tax rate approved is not to exceed 0.40% of the value of all taxable property within the district. The New Boston Volunteer Ambulance Service ceased operations last July due to a lack of staff.
Voters in the Keithsburg Fire Protection District voted to levy a special tax rate not to exceed 0.40% of the value of all taxable property within the district for corporate purposes by a margin of 37-20.
