The Mercer County School District has named Stacey Day its deputy superintendent.
Day returns to the Mercer County School District after serving as Mercer County High School principal from 2014-2022. She previously worked as a high school teacher in both the Mercer County and Westmer School Districts. Day has been the West Central School District superintendent since 2022.
Day will start in the role on July 1 and was signed to a four-year contract. When she takes over, she will replace the interim superintendents who are currently serving while the Mercer County School District continues to pay current superintendent Tim Farquer, who has been on paid administrative leave since his arrest in September.
Day spoke with WRMJ after her official hiring on Tuesday.
