Mercer County hunters harvested 873 deer during the seven-day 2025 Illinois firearm deer season, which is 39 higher than last year’s total of 834.
According to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, 627 deer were taken in during the first weekend, followed by 246 during the second weekend.
The total statewide harvest during the firearm season was 81,225, which is down from last year’s total of 82,496.
Other local 2025 firearm deer season totals – 446 in Henderson County, 572 in Henry County, 1,057 in Knox County, 728 in Rock Island County, and 516 in Warren County.
